Thoughts from the CEO:
There seems to be a new consolidation happening in the industry. EDM companies are being rolled up. Tech companies are being purchased. Management companies are joining forces.
At both SoundCTRL and NUE Agency, we’ve always remained nimble, as we quickly learned it was the best way to learn many facets of the industry, work with different types of companies and form creative collaborations.
I think this growth of conglomeration in the industry is good for business, and it continues to be seen that collaboration is the key to success - especially in Music Tech.
This past week Live Nation bought a controlling stake in C3.
C3 is one of the best independent promoters I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Their festivals are top shelf and they have a passionate, savvy team. This will be great for Live Nation, who will finally have a base in Austin plus ownership in platforms like Lollapalooza & ACL.
Speaking of Live Nation our next #CRWN production is with The King of the South, T.I.! We proudly announced this this morning so be quick to get your tickets before they're gone. See you at Gramercy Theatre on Oct 28th!
