SoundCTRL Exclusive: 5 Social Media Platforms To Look Out For
As we've seen, the wide world of social media changes rapidly. Platforms are hot one day and forgotten in a sea of old apps the next. Today’s age is all about “what’s next?", and with so many apps being developed every day, it’s not an easy question to answer. Here are a quick five that we have our eyes on.
MEDIUM: Started by Twitter co-founder, Evan Williams, this new interface is designed as a long form Twitter for thought leaders. More of a blog format than a quick news-sharing device, its growth points to it being a leader in the space down the road.
THUMB: Seems like its hitting all the trends social media users love – expression and approval. And its simple, which makes it powerful. Users post a question and it receives a thumbs up or down from other users. Anything from which outfit to wear to which restaurant to eat at can be found. Its a must-have for all the indecisive people out there!
SULIA: Hoping to conquer subject-specific content sharing, Sulia allows users to easily post and comment on stories and articles related to pretty much any topic. Think Pinterest meets Twitter.
MOBLI: A direct Instagram competitor, trying to muscle its way into the photo sharing space. Mobli has one distinct advantage that sets it apart: live streaming. This advantage gives it a keen edge over the competition and will be interesting to see how it grows.
LEARNIST: A content sharing format, utilizing one of our favorite words – curation! The platform is designed to have ‘experts’ in a given field reveal content to your specific interests. So next time you search for music tech, SoundCTRL will have to show up right?!
Happy Monday!
